Hand knit ball ornament

Just in time for a very last DIY ball ornament.  I have a super easy knitting pattern for you.  Knit this ball on two needles, with fine cotton yarn (or make a larger size with thick yarn!).  Choose two colors of your liking and you are ready to go:

O yes, they are fun to make, here are the directions:

Materials: Fine Cotton or acrylic yarn (I used vintage Pingouin Pingofine, brown sheep fine cotton will be a good choice)
gauge: approx. 30 x 38 = 4”
Needles Size US 2
Blunt needle
Stuffing material
Cast on 18 stitches
Row 1: Knit all stitches

Row 2: Knit 15 sts, yarn over, and turn

Row 3: Knit 12 sts, yarn over, and turn
Row 4: Knit 9 sts, yarn over, and turn
Row 5: Knit 6 sts, yarn over, and turn
Row 6: Knit until completed and knit YO st and next st together
Row 7: Knit row complete, knit YO sts and next st together
Row 8: Knit 18 sts.
Change color after Row 8. Repeat Row 1 through 8
nine more times and cast off.
Finish off and leave a small opening for the stuffing and add a ribbon. Weave in ends.
