For me it is really spring time: I am lethargic, sneeze now and then, and feel I am stuck in a rut. It’s all about a piece of furniture that I painted and the result is not what I had in mind..I believe I did something wrong….let’s talk about that some other time. Today I want to do something different. I always loved it when bloggers would show us, the readers, their great Goodwill or other thrift store finds. Well, I love to go to thrift stores and go regularly, but I also have a few boxes in my attic already with interesting finds in them. Why not show those finds to you?
Let’s starts with the weights: Love them. My father bought them for me (yes, he was the ultimate treasure hunter) a long time ago and he even made a “holder” for them. I kept them together for many, many years. Aren’t they lovely?
This knitting basket is a thrift store find and it is in remarkable shape. The inside is actually a made out of silk. Very groovy.
Who doesn’t love a cobalt blue container? This color speaks to me and when I see it I have to have it. I bought this one recently at an estate sale, maybe missing a screw top but that is ok, I still love it. It will look so elegant with a bunch of flowers.
Last but not least: three lovely tea towels that were probably stored for many years and never used (did not find ANY spot on them). Don’t you adore the cross stitch? It makes me feel like finishing my own embroidery projects.
